CO-OP IS COMING TO TRAIL

We are converting our Glenmerry Tempo site at 2845 Highway Drive to our newest CO-OP location!

Work begins Sunday, August 10 for changing of signs and updating our systems which will take just a few days. We expect our Slocan Valley Co-op members will be able to start using their member number for fuel purchases once work is complete!

Slocan Valley Co-op members can now earn patronage for annual equity and cash back on their fuel purchases at all our gas bars in Nelson, Castlegar, Slocan Park, and now Glenmerry! Members earned an average savings of 4.5¢ per litre on their 2024 fuel purchases. You don’t have to be a member to purchase at any of our Co-op locations, but if you become a member, you can earn back a percentage of the fuel purchases you make at our Co-op locations in the form of annual equity and cash back. It is how Co-op shares its profits with its members and the community.

Background Information

Since May 1, 2024 the Co-op has operated the Glenmerry Tempo site at 2845 Highway Drive in Trail. When Co-op acquired the Husky brand the property and building in Glenmerry was owned by another party, being leased to the Co-op. The decision made at the time was to convert this site to the Tempo brand. The brand was chosen because of the uncertainty in the long-term security of the property and building coming to the end of their lease, resulting in the risk of closure of the site which would have been disappointing to members. We are very happy to share a new arrangement has been made for Co-op to now own the site, securing it as a permanent location for the Slocan Valley Co-op and its member-owners!
